Thursday, they’re hosting a conversation on education in Cobb County and highlighting Understood, a resource to support parents of kids with learning and attention issues and empower them to help their children thrive in school and life.

  1. You’re invited to attend State of Our Schools Parent Leadership Summit. The summit will be held June 24th ,2017 9:30am-2:00pm. It will be at Riverside Intermediate School 285 S. Gordon Road, Mableton Georgia. This will be an opportunity for you to take part in workshops on a variety of topics including, scholarships for college, transition to high school, transition to middle school, elementary school success, community engagement, special needs services, and how to navigate schools. Special guest speakers will be Georgia Parent leader 2013 Electria Barnes, Food Network reality show clash of the grandmas awardee Guenevere Reed, Amateur Advocates Associate president Albert McRae, and much more.
