The School Board met Monday to discuss the school calendar for 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. Superintendent Chris Ragsdale presented to the Board his recommended school calendar that provides for 180 school days and has the school year ending before the Memorial Day weekend.
Two major changes were proposed; the school start date will be in the middle of the week and the fall break will have only two days. The February break will be a full week each school year.
The proposed school calendars will be on the September Agenda and will be voted on at the September 17th Board meeting.
If you have any comments concerning the proposed calendars, please email your Board member stating your concerns.
